Former Miss Uganda 2013 Stellah Nantumbwe, popularly known as Ellah, has broken her silence following theft allegations linked to her separation from husband Saidi Bukenya, firmly denying claims that she took away his property.
In a strong rebuttal, Nantumbwe dismissed accusations that she walked away with household assets, insisting she left the marriage without taking any of her husband’s belongings.
She clarified that the only item she reclaimed was her Lexus vehicle, which she claims had been in her husband’s use.

According to Nantumbwe, the marriage—reported to have lasted from August 2025 to around May 2026—collapsed following disagreements over living arrangements. She alleges tensions escalated after the couple continued living in a small apartment despite earlier promises of a larger home.
The separation has since spilled into the public spotlight, with reports of a growing smear campaign and intervention from senior government officials, including Edith Nakalema, who reportedly urged that household items be returned to settle the dispute.
To support her account, Nantumbwe has circulated video footage showing a modestly furnished apartment, featuring basic items such as beds, shoes, and cleaning supplies. She argues the footage demonstrates she did not remove household property.
A separate image from the residence has also surfaced online, further intensifying public debate.
The allegations come just weeks after reports emerged that the couple had separated barely three months after their highly publicized wedding in 2025.
Ellah rose to national prominence after winning the Miss Uganda crown in 2013 at age 22. She has since built a career in acting, media, and pageant coaching, maintaining a strong presence in Uganda’s entertainment industry.

As conflicting narratives continue to circulate, the dispute remains a trending topic online, with growing scrutiny over what truly led to the breakdown of the short-lived marriage.
